The superstar singer now has her own holiday as Governor Mark Dayton declares May 23rd 'Beyonce Day' in the state of Minnesota. Beyonce of course is not new to being politicized as several institutions in the US have over the years included courses in their curriculum that study the life and style of the singer as a political/social phenomenon.
This however is not the first of such generous acts by the Governor, as he earlier in the year dedicated February 6 to Nigerian singer Praiz.
